I'm Steph Trattles.
I specialise in the outstanding delivery of learning and professional development.
I'm Steph, a Learning and Development Specialist based in London. My passion lies in the delivery of outstanding opportunities for professional development through coaching, writing and teaching.
I began my journey as an unqualified teacher in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets as I embarked upon the Teach First Leadership Development Programme - notorious for its challenging circumstances and high drop-out rates. Discovering my purpose after completion was far from clear cut; I took many detours and often looked inwards into what felt like a black hole.

As the years went on, I noticed a consistent factor in my work: always seeking out opportunities to help people to exceed in their role...and not only did I find enjoyment in these experiences, I was delivering results, as well.
​
Fast-forward to COVID-19: I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. I tackled a plethora of personal and professional development courses with hundreds of hours of study time. I took everything I learned, and created a bank of high-quality training sessions: Note-Takers was born.
​
Whilst Note-Takers has evolved since its original creation, the mission remains the same:
Empowering employees by accelerating their professional development and career by providing first-class training and resources.
​
It started as a collection of training sessions, designed to target everyone on payroll: apprentices and junior staff, managers, and those simply seeking to understand the science of success and happiness (...who doesn't want to know how to be more happy and more successful?!).
I spent a lot time compiling the crème de la crème of knowledge, academic research and tried-and-tested strategies, and I paired them with cheat sheets, relevant Ted Talks and valuable activities. My promise to you remains the same: no complicated jargon, no hardly-relevant interviews and videos, and certainly no 20 hour plus commitment time.

More recently, Note-Takers has evolved to capture one of my favourite pastimes: writing, paired with my passion: professional development of others. In my Blog, I approach a range of topics from a solutions-focused perspective, and offer techniques and strategies to harness the skills needed to thrive at work and in every-day life.
